I lie there trying to get to sleep early so that I can wake up early and maybe make myself some breakfast instead of shoving myself off the floor and spending what little time I spend awake at home in the mornings taking care of the three S's of self sufficience. I'm half asleep and I know it because my thoughts are becoming the comfortable nonsense that comes before a pleasant dream and then the first thing I see are her large brown eyes with her chin tucked slightly so she's looking out from under her brow and I'm instantly awake and now two hours later I'm considering drinking my way to unconsciousness.
