I want to thank all of you who've given me music suggestions. They haven't gone unnoticed. Unheeded thus far, but not unnoticed. I am listing them, and soon you were read what I have to think about them.
I have fallen in love with a female vocalist again. Or at least that's how I think of it. I can't get her out of my head for more than thirty minutes without putting another cd on. It reminds me of being young, and trips in my dad's truck to the lake or to go shooting or to the Boll Weevil. It reminds me of surprising myself by waking up an hour before sunrise and feeling as if the world belonged to me alone. With this album comes again the dream of driving. Of driving away.
I'm going to go see her show this coming tuesday. Should I meet her, I suspect she, like most of you, will have no idea how important she has become to me.
